10 Questions To Ask Yourself BEFORE You Build A Website.

Whether you are building from scratch or updating what you already have, the following questions are helpful in formatting a successful website.

  1. Do you have an ideal date for website launch? Are there outside considerations that might affect the timeline (e.g. product launches, studio openings, etc.)?

  2. What is it that you want to accomplish?

  3. What work do you do? What products do you sell? What services do you offer? What content do you create?

  4. Describe the ideal visitor to your website.

  5. What would you want your ideal visitor to do on your site? Contact you? Book an appointment? Make a purchase? Subscribe to your newsletter?

  6. Which social media channels (if any) do you think your visitors use?

  7. What makes your business unique, special, or different?

  8. Do you already have an existing website or domain?

  9. Do you already have assets? Includes: copy (bios, headlines, products, about pages, etc.), images, and a logo or other branding.

  10. What website platform best fits your needs? (Squarespace, Wordpress, etc) Do your research!
